Life has continued to conspire against me, but this particular Friday I successfully wrested some time from other responsibilities and put out a couple of releases.

Specifically:

  • Fabric got a 1.8 release (changelog) with a couple new features. No bugfix releases today. However, especially given the attempt at more frequent feature releases, I’ll be trying harder to backport bugs to more stable release lines - so look for more bugfix releases in subsequent weeks.
  • Paramiko received some bugfix releases, 1.10.3 and 1.11.1, both containing the same handful of bugfixes, seen here.

I also spent a good chunk of time last week and this week overhauling Fabric’s changelog process, resulting in yet another open source project allowing my to apply that new changelog setup to my other projects. So far only Invoke has gotten it, but I plan to expand it to the others as I find time. (Including a planned update of Paramiko to use Sphinx instead of Epydoc.)
